Can I fire someone who has vertigo every other month?

Can I fire someone who has vertigo every other month? This employee is making our scheduling very difficult because of the unpredictable nature of the illness.

  • this would depend on a few things. depending on the size of your company, and the labor contract signed during the hire, you wouldn't have a problem on the situation. you would probably be better off putting the employee on disability, as vertigo is a recognized disability depending on the severity of the symptoms.
