The most recent change to the Indiana State labor poster was from the Indiana Department of Labor Bureau of Child Labor. The update allowed sixteen-year-old workers to work until 11:00 pm on nights followed by school days. The poster also eliminated restrictions for seventeen-year-old workers on days that were not followed by another school day. These updates took place in July of 2015.
The minimum wage poster was last updated in 2009, and the Indiana minimum wage was raised alongside the federal minimum wage to $7.25 per hour. The main difference between the federal minimum wage and the Indiana minimum wage is the training wages. While the federal minimum wage doesn’t mention training wages, Indiana employers are allowed to pay $4.25 an hour to workers under 20 years old for the first consecutive 90 days.
